Funded by the DKJS, German Children and Youth Foundation, a total of four vacation schools for refugee children and young people were implemented on behalf of the Berlin Senate. Initially in cooperation with Lehrreich in Wilmersdorf, with Ida Nowhere in Neukölln and finally under the direction of ZKU in Moabit.

2016 – 2021 Newsgroup Afghanistan

Under the title Newsgroup Afghanistan, journalism workshops for Afghan youth and Berlin youth will be organized in 2016. Together we will conduct interviews with representatives of German Afghanistan and asylum policy: an asylum lawyer, a Bundeswehr soldier and Afghanistan veteran, a representative of the Ministry of the Interior, a social activist, a parliamentarian of the CDU. The conversations and collected images will be turned into an exhibition that will be on display at BOX Freiraum in Friedrichshain starting in fall 2016.

The Newsgroup Afghanistan is continued as an independent project by the young people on their own.

2017 – 2018 Yalda Nacht

In a refugee shelter, six Afghans celebrate the Yalda Festival – the longest night of the year. Their memories of their homeland come to life in a foreign country, as if this were their new home. But a real festive mood cannot arise, because five experts on German asylum policy ensure that the Yalda guests do not forget the questions of what the future holds.

For the stage, Afghan youths slip into the role of German experts and thus acquire the perspective of those who decide their fate in everyday life. Personal stories from Afghanistan are played by Berlin actors and actresses, clash with the abstract view of politics and paint a contradictory and divided picture of the situation of Afghan refugees in Germany.
